Author of "The Purpose is Profit" Ed McLaughlin is the author of “The Purpose Is Profit: The Truth about Starting and Building Your Own Business”, a book for entrepreneurs, frustrated corporate managers, and transitioning professionals with a burning desire to start their own business. He is also the founder of multiple B2B businesses and an investor in start-ups and real estate. He founded a real estate services company – United Systems Integrators Corporation (USI) in 1991, grew it into an Inc 500 Company and sold it to a Fortune 100 company, Johnson Controls in 2005, becoming the CEO of JCI’s Global Workplace Business for the Americas from 2005 to 2007. Ed has been a partner at Trammell Crow Company, regional marketing manager at Hewlett-Packard and salesman for IBM.
