How do emotions get hooked to our actions?

Dr. Susan David (Author & CEO, Evidence Based Psychology)

Susan David discusses her philosophy on dealing with emotions and thoughts in a way that helps us reach our potential. She talks about how with most people, emotions lead directly to action, sometimes in ways that harm us. She provides examples of what can happen to employees if they feel they are being undermined or not heard and how this can translate to not going after that promotion or to not speak out at a meeting. David provides suggestions on how to be authentic with one’s emotions and to view them as data not directions.
