Know-how is good, know-who is better.

Lewis Schiff (Author, Business owners Council & Executive Director, Inc. Magazine’s)

In his book, Business Brilliant, Schiff states that “Know-how is good, but knowing-who is better”. He discusses his theory that to make a lot of money it is more important to be “lucky” and to be at the right place at the right time, than it is to have technical skills or knowledge. This “luck” according to Schiff comes from developing a network of people who need each other but do not know each other. Successful people take the time to develop intimate relationships with a small group of people who can help them create wealth.
