Ivan Seidenberg provides examples of innovative and creative ways that non-linear thinking was utilized at Verizon. He talks about how leadership decided to separate the wireless business from the telephone business based on their view that wireless was going to grow exponentially. Seidenberg points out that Verizon was the first company to fully recognize the future of wireless technology and invest in its development.
