What are Happy Accidents?

David Wilk  (Author & Co-founder, Four Day Weekend)

David Wilk discusses what he refers to as “happy accidents” which is also the title of the book he co-authored with fellow business partners called Happy Accidents: The Transformative Power of “Yes, and” at Work and in Life. According to Wilk, happy accidents occur when you are able to see the silver lining of a perceived error or problem and then take positive steps to turn the negative into a positive. He provides an example of how his company was able to take the financial effect of the 2008 financial crash and turn it into a reason for positive business growth.
