What is BRAC USA?

BRAC USA grew out of a small relief effort after the war of liberation in 1971 in Bangladesh. Susan explains how the organization began in Bangladesh and became a development and educational organization helping individuals to bring themselves out of poverty through the offering of microfinancing and education. BRAC has reportedly helped over 126 million people in multiple countries.

She was the founding president and CEO of BRAC USA, an organization created in 2006 to support BRAC, a position she held until 2016. BRAC runs programs to alleviate poverty using microfinance, education, healthcare, legal services, community empowerment, and other methods
