What are the big trends that are changing the workplace?

Kevin J. Mulcahy (Author & Partner, Future Workplace)

Kevin Mulcahy talks about three categories of megatrends occurring in the workplace. One of the major trends, according to Mulcahy, that organizations are coping with, is the consumerization of employees. This consumerization refers to employees, particularly young employees, who want to experience work in a way that is like their experience as a consumer. He discusses how this trend affects organizations in many ways including leadership, learning behavior, technology adoption, recruiting, and the shifting composition of the workforce.
