NYSCI Talks: What School Could Be by Ted Dintersmith

Ted Dintersmith talks about his visits to different schools across the country. According to Dintersmith, it was his trip to the Naval Academy that was the most surprising in terms of their approach to innovation. He discusses the Academy’s changes in admissions policies and in the movement from lectures to project-based learning. Dintersmith discusses what other colleges and schools could learn from the approach used at the Naval Academy. Peggy Brookins discusses the innovative approach to learning that is happening at another Maryland location – the University of Maryland in Baltimore County.
